Disadvantages Of Camping

Disadvantages Of Camping

Anything with an advantage must definitely have a disadvantage, so camping is not excluded. There are bad sides in camping which makes people think twice before embarking on a camp trip. The camp is not a place of comfort, so if you cannot cope with discomfort, cancel that trip. It’s just like the jungle, there are basic survival skills that you should have before planning on this trip. If you can’t light a fire, erect a tent, catch fish or other animals, there’s no point going. There’ll be a time when your stocked food will get exhausted, so these skills are important.

For those camping in the woods,

For those camping in the woods, there’s no availability of bathrooms for campers to use, and this leaves them with the choice of bathing out there. It’s not proper because dangerous animals might get the signal to strike. You’ll be prone to open wounds, as dangerous plants with sharp objects would give you a scratch unknowingly. Bathrooms are important to humans, as they always require staying clean, but due to lack of bathrooms in camps, you’ll be forced to go far just for bathing. Strangers might barge into your privacy, and see your nakedness at wrong timing.

Disadvantages Of Camping

Animals see humans as a source of food, but they might not necessarily attack them. They’ll smell stored food due to their ability, then finish the stocked food in your absence. This will leave campers stranded because there’s nowhere to get food in the jungle, as people don’t trade there. It’s important to package your food properly to prevent the aroma from attracting them. Different insects are found in campsites, so you’re at a risk of getting infected through mosquito bites or other harmful parasites. Bugs are also rampant there, so they’ll feast on your blood, and cause illness if you’re not careful.

Another disadvantage is lack of medical personnel, and this is dangerous because issues can arise at anytime which will need medical attention. If you’re in the camp, and something happens, it’ll be difficult to get to a hospital immediately. Lives can be lost, and situations might get critical if help is not available on time. There are germs everywhere, but it’s worse in camps, so people can get infections of any kind which requires serious treatment. Infections can also be transferred through sharing toilets, alongside other sanitary materials due to lack of enough items for everybody.

Internet is vital in our lives, and without it, survival is difficult due to lack of communication. In camps, you’ll experience network issues that will restrict the flow of communication. If anything happens, there’s zero possibility of getting help from the real world. Camping is expensive, as it requires a lot of equipment which costs a fortune. The amount you’ll spend on camping is equivalent to what you’ll spend traveling on vacations with your family to a comfortable place. When you’re in the camp, you cannot just stay indoors throughout, so you will have to explore your vicinity. Through walking around, those with delicate skin would get sunburned.
